Before I discovered engineering as an outlet for problem solving, black & white photography played the part. With so many variables to control and so few constraints, making a great photograph proved to be a challenge. I was drawn to photography because I loved the intricacies of the process. Between getting the right shot, developing the film, and printing the picture, there are endless possibilities. In an attempt to see how changes in each aspect of the process would affect the final photograph, I have spent countless hours in the darkroom.

Most of my photographs fit into the genre of abstract expressionism. My subjects are the textures, shadows, contrasts, and perspective the objects in the photographs reveal. The links to the photography albums are located in the right navigation bar. Poetics, Backlit Windows, and Experiments contain series of photographs that were created for a photography class I took at UF. The photographs in the Italy album were taken in various parts of Italy when I studied abroad. The subject of the Architecture photographs is the ICAR facility in Greenville, SC.
