I received my Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Florida in Gainesville, Fl in December of 2007. I am currently working towards a master's degree in aerospace engineering at The University of Florida (May 2010). My initial graduate research was on the multidisciplinary design optimization of an aeroassisted orbital transfer. This research was funded by the Lockheed Martin Corporation and the NASA Florida Space Grant Consortium. I recently completed an internship working as a college student tech senior specialist within Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Services division in King of Prussia, PA. In my position at Lockheed Martin I worked on an internal research & development project where I developed heuristic gradient optimization algorithms for use in complex system analysis software.
Upon attaining my M.S. in aerospace engineering in May 2010, I plan to work in industry. I am seeking an aerospace engineering position where I can be involved in the research, development, design, test, and implementation of aerospace systems. My aim is to continue to develop both my technical expertise and leadership skills by working on challenging projects on which I am given significant responsibilities. My ideal employer is a growing company whose mission is progressive, attainable, and demonstrated internally and to their customers on a regular basis. This company would be agile and innovative in the ways they adapt their products to meet their customers' needs. Additionally, I am looking for an employer who promotes continued education for their employees and offers hands-on problems requiring creative solutions.
